IQAC

Introduction

As per the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) guidelines, every accredited institution has to establish its own Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to maintain the post-accreditation quality of the institution. IQAC, K. K. Shah Jarodwala maninagar science college is an integral part of the quality culture of the college and works towards realization of quality goals. Its primary task is to develop a system for conscious, consistent & catalytic improvement in the overall performance of college. For this, it plans and coordinates all strategies and operations of the college oriented towards holistic academic excellence.

Objectives of IQAC

The Primary aim of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.

  1. Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks.
  2. Relevant and quality academic/ research programmes.
  3. Equitable access to and affordability of academic programmes for various sections of society.
  4. Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning.
  5. The credibility of assessment and evaluation process.
  6. Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and services.
  7. Sharing of research findings and networking with other institutions in India and abroad.

Functions:

  1. To design feedback system considering college output to adjust its performance to meet the desired output response.
  2. To recommend enhancing research facilities & other infrastructure.
  3. To recommend strategies adopted for teaching learning process.
  4. To conduct the internal audits, to work out the mechanism for timely, efficient and periodic progressive performance of Academic & Administrative activities on regular basis.
  5. Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
  6. Dissemination of information on the various quality parameters of higher education.
  7. Organization of workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles.
  8. Documentation of the various programmes / activities leading to quality improvement.
  9. Acting as a nodal agency of the institution for quality-related activities.
  10. Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to be submitted to NAAC based on the quality parameters.
